The 4-H Wolves Club on Maui kept busy in November and December by giving back to the community through service projects.

We all packed our own individual boxes at home but also helped add things the church provided in the rest of the boxes. These shoeboxes were shipped all over the world including the Philippines, Thailand, Madagascar and many more third-world countries. The wolves learned about the importance of this activity and just how one little shoebox can help a child in need. On November twentieth the wolves painted Christmas inspired paintings that were donated to Hale Makua. Along with the paintings the seniors also got handwritten cards to cheer them up during the holiday season.

On December 16 and 17 the 4-H wolves participated in the Salvation Army bell ringing outside of Safeway and Walmart where they collected money for the less privileged. The wolves worked hard ringing bells for three hours learning that just small things like that can help a lot.

4-H Wolves Club doing goat yoga On December 4 the wolves got a personalized tour of the Humane Society and got to learn about the job opportunities that are provided. One 4-H member remarks “I learned how organized the humane society is and how much dedication workers put into the animals.” On the seventeenth some of the wolves also participated in the fun, therapeutic art of Goat Yoga. Everyone relieved their stress by twisting and bending with the goats.
